We have arrived in Ecuador!!!
Well, we finally made it to Guayaquil, Ecuador! It's raining here and VERY humid...
I was shocked by the "relaxiness" of the airport security here. All you had to do was show your passport and X-Ray your CHECKED bag. I had my backpack on the whole time. They didn't even check it. And it only took literally 10 seconds for them to scan it. All you veterans will know how much of a blessing that is. For all you non-veterans, a typical customs security checkpoint consists of a never-ending line to show your passport, then you go through the dreaded green light red light thing. (if green, you get to go on; if red, they dig through all your stuff) It is also completely random who gets the green or red light.
The Gran Hotel Guayaquil is very nice. The showers are great, if you like getting sprayed with 15 pressure washers at once. I think I have welts on my back now... :-P
Well it's almost 2am here and I need to get some shut-eye, even though I'm wide awake... We are having a Breakfast Buffet tomorrow... I mean, later this morning... I can't wait!
We are leaving tomorrow... Man! I mean later this morning, around 10:00am to take the long bus ride to Cuenca. Hopefully I will remember to get some pictures of the ride down there and will post them tomorrow... I mean later today... :-*
So goodnight.... I mean good morning... You know what I mean...
P.S. Isaiah is having a great time!

Thanks for doing the Blog Jacob. It's great to see hear that the trip is off to such a great start by His grace. I have a longing to be with you all, but know that God had a different plan for me this time. I am praying for all of you daily. Please tell my amigos Jeff Davis and Melissa Martin that I am expecting to see testimonies from both of them!
I am so thankful for your safe travel! God is going to do wonderful things through and for every one of you. I will continue praying for each of you. Tell my sister, Krista, that I love her dearly!
It is so good to hear from ya'll. May God richly bless all you do. I'm praying right now (about 12:30 pm Sat) for save travel as you make your long bus ride. May God use each one of you in a very special way this week.
1. Hi Jacob, It's Whitney Sparks. Nice idea:)
2. Yeah, they don't care so much what you bring. The US are the one's who are looking for terrorist:) But don't worry. When the group comes back through US customs it will take forever!
3. I'm glad to see that everyone is doing well. If you have time, tell my dad that I miss him, I hope he hasn't stuck himself with a needle yet, don't drink the water, use the Nalgene bottle, and Florida and Arkansas and Florida have gone to the SEC b-ball championship! Crazy... I know.
I'm trying again. I am blog-illiterate... my first post never got posted! I don't remember having trouble last blog!? Well- if this makes it- praying for you all. And- I sure did miss the PlumDawgs in SS today- the kids prayed for you...and are very proud of you!
